Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday created a sensation by claiming his Patanjali Ayurveda has developed a cure for coronavirus. Ramdev said the Coronil medicine developed by Patanjali has been 100% successful in curing coronavirus patients. However, the launch of Coronil and its promotion didn’t go down too well with the government. So will customers looking for a cure of Covid-19 be able to buy Coronil just yet?

The Ayush Ministry has asked Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda to submit all details of the clinical trial it conducted on the results of Coronil in curing coronavirus cases. Patanjali has promptly sent its documents to the government on Wednesday.

Ramdev and Balkrishna-led Patanjali Ayurveda on Tuesday made a startling claim and said they have successfully developed an ayurvedic cure for coronavirus. Patanjali has said the new medicine is capable of curing coronavirus within 7 days. The coronavirus cure kit launched by Patanjali has 'Coronil and Swasari' medicine that has shown promising results and cured all coronavirus patients who were not on ventilator support, said Ramdev while launching the medicine. Ramdev said Patanjali had started work on the coronavirus medicine back in December and the clinical trials of Coronil has shown most patients recovered in 3 days while some cases took 7 days to recover.

IS CORONIL AVAILABLE IN MARKETS?

Ramdev said on Tuesday that the Coronil medicine will be made available in markets within 7 days. Ramdev also said the medicines can be ordered online through a mobile app from next Monday. However, the Ayush ministry has asked Patanjali to not market the product or sell it before it is cleared by the government task force. Ayush Ministry has sought a detailed report on the composition, testing and other data of the drugs from Patanjali on its claims on Coronil.
