PM Modi's address: All India Radio says speech at 4 pm, later deletes tweet

Prime Minister Narendra Modi may be addressing the nation at 4 pm after the major decision of scrapping Article 370 and splitting Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address the nation on Thursday evening. All India Radio said in a tweet that PM Modi will be addressing the nation at 4 pm and then withdrew the tweet, triggering confusion.

Sources say the timing of PM Modi's address might be revised.

Although there has been no word from the government on the subject of his address, it is being speculated that the PM may finally speak to the nation on the government's momentous decision to scrap Article 370.

According to a report in PTI, PM Modi is expected to explain the government's decisions on abrogating special status to Jammu and Kashmir and splitting the state into two union territories.
