Washington US President Donald Trump has expressed a desire to buy Greenland, the world's largest island. Trump has also spoken to his advisors on this.
He wants to know if it is possible to buy Greenland, the autonomous region of Denmark. Trump is also scheduled to visit Denmark in September.
At the Oval meeting last year, Trump first talked about buying Greenland. Then he jokingly said that he wanted to make that island part of America for natural resources.
Former Prime Minister Lars Lok Rasmussen told April Fool
Former Prime Minister Lars Lok Rasmussen called it an April Fools' joke (joke). Soren Ispersen, a spokesman for the Dennis People's Party, said, "If Trump is serious about buying Greenland, then it proves he has gone mad. It is also ridiculous to think that Denmark will sell 50,000 of its people to America.
America has already offered
Trump is not the only president who wishes to buy the island. In 1956, US President Harry S. Truman made a proposal of 100 million dollars to buy Greenland. That offer was rejected, however.
